UNC lost a close game to the University of Virginia, 74-79.
It was an incomplete game in which the opponent dominated the match.
February 29, 2016: UNC 75-70 Syracuse University
UNC defeated Syracuse University 75-70.
Brice Johnson had 14 points and 10 rebounds, Joel Berry II had 13 points, Kennedy Meeks had 10 points, Isaiah Hicks had 10 points, and Justin Jackson had 10 points.
We won its final home game of the regular season in impressive fashion!

We won the ACC regular season championship, avenging our previous loss!
March 10, 2016: UNC 88-71 University of Pittsburgh
In the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament, UNC defeated the University of Pittsburgh 88-71.
Joel Berry II scored 20 points, Brice Johnson had 19, Justin Jackson 11, and Isaiah Hicks 10.
March 11, 2016: UNC 78-47 University of Notre Dame
In the ACC Tournament semifinals, UNC defeated Notre Dame 78-47.
Joel Berry II scored 19 points, Marcus Paige had 13, and Brice Johnson had 12.
March 12, 2016: UNC 61-57 University of Virginia
In the ACC Tournament final, UNC defeated the University of Virginia 61-57.
Joel Berry II scored 19 points, Marcus Paige had 13 points, and Brice Johnson had 12 points.
We team also won the ACC Tournament, getting revenge for our last game!
March 17, 2016: UNC 83-67 Florida Gulf Coast University
UNC will be the #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
In the first round of the NCAA Tournament, UNC defeated Florida Gulf Coast University 83-67.
Brice Johnson had 18 points, Joel Berry II 14, Justin Jackson 12, Isaiah Hicks 12, and Marcus Paige 10.
The game was close at the end of the first half, with a one-point lead, 41-40, but we pushed ahead in the second half to win handily!
March 19, 2016: UNC 85-66 Providence College
In the second round of the NCAA Tournament, UNC defeated Providence College 85-66.
Brice Johnson had 21 points and 10 rebounds, Joel Berry II had 15, Justin Jackson 15, Isaiah Hicks 13, and Marcus Paige 12.
March 25, 2016: UNC 101-86 Indiana University
In the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, UNC defeated Indiana University 101-86.
Marcus Paige had 21 points, Brice Johnson had 20 points and 10 rebounds, Kennedy Meeks had 15 points, Justin Jackson had 14 points, and Joel Berry II had 14 points.
March 27, 2016: UNC 88-74 University of Notre Dame
In the Elite 8 (quarterfinals) of the NCAA Tournament, UNC defeated Notre Dame 88-74.
Brice Johnson had 25 points and 12 rebounds, Marcus Paige 13, Justin Jackson 11, Joel Berry II 11, and Kennedy Meeks 10.

April 4, 2016: UNC 74-77 Villanova University
In the NCAA Tournament final, UNC lost a close game to Villanova University 74-77.
UNC led by as many as five points, 39-34, after the first half, but the visitors trailed 44-46 with 13:28 left in the second half.
Villanova tied the game at 74-74 with 4.7 seconds left in the second half, but a 3-point buzzer beater by Villanova's Kris Jenkins (#2) was the final nail in the coffin for a frustrating loss.
NOTE: Michael Jordan was there to watch the game.
Summary
Our record for the 2015-2016 season was 33-7 (.825 winning percentage).
We lost a frustrating game in the NCAA tournament final to Villanova University's Kris Jenkins (#2) on a 3-point buzzer beater.
Let's use this disappointment as a springboard to revenge next season!
