July 26, 2021: Japan 77-88 Spain
Japan lost to Spain 77-88.
After an unsportsmanlike foul by Japan's Edwards Gavin at the 26-26 tie in the second quarter, Spain quickly went up 2-20, and by the end of the first half they were up by 20 points, 28-48.
By the end of the third quarter, the score was 56-69, a 13-point difference, but the gap did not close in the fourth quarter, and the game ended in a frustrating 77-88 loss.
Rui Hachimura and Yuta Watanabe had 20 and 19 points, respectively.
