Alvark Tokyo, ranked 2nd in the East, and Chiba Jets, ranked 1st in the East, met at Yokohama Arena, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan.
May 26, 2018: Alvark Tokyo 85-60 Chiba Jets
In a game on May 26, 2018, Alvark Tokyo defeated the Chiba Jets 85-60.
Alex Kirk had 23 points and 6 rebounds, Daiki Tanaka had 15 points and 5 assists, Yudai Baba had 14 points, and Jawad Williams (from UNC) had 10 points.
The first quarter was close, with Alvark Tokyo leading by one point, 19-18.
In the second quarter, Alvark Tokyo gradually widened the gap and ended the first half leading by 10 points, 43-33, after a long three-point buzzer beater by Jawad Williams!
The third quarter was as close as the first, ending with a 12-point margin, 61-49.
In the fourth quarter, Alvark Tokyo went on an onslaught to decide the game, and after opening up a lead of about 20 points with about 5 minutes remaining, Alvark Tokyo won the game by using time well to close out the game!
